Breaking into My Imagination.

People may say: “I have no imagination.” It simply is not true. The fact is that we have guards on many of the inroads to our imagination and those guards whisper deterrents to us if we seem to be venturing too close to imagination’s great doors. They whisper: “don’t do that…that would be silly.” They whisper: “you’re not interesting.” They whisper: “people will laugh at you.” And so we turn around again from the pathway to the freedom of the playground, and resort to something banal, predictable, acceptable. No eyebrows will be raised.

As it happens I remember the exact day I broke through into my imagination, and here is the story told in my own voice.

Best wishes one and all in these peculiar times.
